Announcing Our Fall 2017 Lecture Series

For our annual Fall Lecture series we are pleased to announced the following two lectures:

Worming Out the Truth with Dr. Jason Houston

We will be joined by Dr. Jason Houston, director of Gonzaga in Florence and scholar of Italian literature and medieval studies, for a presentation entitled: Worming Out the Truth: A reading of Decameron VII 3 which will explore Boccaccio’s tale about Friar Rinaldo “curing” his godson of worms.

The lecture will be followed by a reception.

The Influence of Song and Music in the World of Poetry, Prose, and Theater with Dr. Anthony Sidney

Writer and independent researcher Dr. Anthony Sidney will join us at Villa Le Balze to present his lecture The Influence of Music and Song in the World of Poetry, Prose, and Theater. 

The lecture will be followed by a reception.
