CISI Health Insurance
All Georgetown students studying abroad on full year, semester, or short-term programs are enrolled in CISI International Health Insurance. While faculty directors and on-site staff are available to assist students with medical issues, it is critically important that students review their coverage information and share it with their families.
InternationalSOS
ISOS is a resource for country-specific travel information, security and medical risk assessments, and visa requirements. Students, faculty, and staff traveling abroad for university purposes should register with ISOS MyTrips prior to departure.
On-Site Resources
Villa Le Balze staff maintain relationships with local authorities including officials at the Commune of Fiesole, the City of Florence, the Questura di Firenze (local police) and the U.S. Consulate in Florence.
S.T.E.P.
All Georgetown students, faculty, and staff who are U.S. citizens should enroll in the U.S. State Department Smart Traveler Enrollment Program. STEP registration allows the State Department to better assist U.S. citizens in the event of an emergency. Non-U.S. citizens should contact their home country government to inquire about available registration and support.
